Can you turn shame into a product? I built a market for regrets to find out.

I've been thinking about why anonymous apps keep dying while anonymity keeps being the thing people secretly want. Whisper, Secret, Yik Yak — all gone, yet anonymous confession shows up everywhere.

My theory: they monetized attention, but nobody monetized the confession itself.

So I built a small experiment to test it: . You post a regret for free. Strangers pay real money to bury it, then others pay more to dig it back up (1.5× every move). The shame literally has a price.

Built solo with $10, PHP, and JSON files — no database, no signup, no ads.

Two things I'd genuinely love this community's take on:

1. Is "shame as an asset" a real market, or a novelty that dies in a week?

2. What would make you actually post your own regret — and what would stop you?
