Fieldnote is an app that turns spoken words into structured notes for any standing note-taker

Today, Fieldnote is here. It's designed for people taking notes while walking around their job site, inspecting a property, or doing rounds on a farm, places where typing out notes on your phone is time-consuming and where simply voicing them into an audio memo makes them an unsearchable mess that you never return to hear.

You dictate and it takes that audio recording and structures it in the form of a note with headers, action items, and locations automatically extracted from the location where you made the note.

A home inspector from the beta test has been using it to document the issues in every room he's visiting before he returns back to his desk without opening his laptop once.

It was designed from observing how my father-in-law, a building inspector, dictated the exact same information about a building to three separate apps because none of those automatically structured anything for him.
