I built an app to help evaluate startups I was interested in buying. Thinking about opening it up.
Hi all đź‘‹
I’ve spent the last ~8/9 months analysing micro-acquisition deals (mostly on Flippa, Acquire, IndieHackers, TrustMRR) with the goal of building a small portfolio on the side.
After ~700 hours reviewing listings, one thing became obvious: due diligence at this level is still very manual and fragmented.
So I started building a tool for myself to speed things up. The requirements were simple:
Flag inconsistencies between P&L, listings, and screenshots
Detect unusual spikes/drops in traffic or revenue
Keep deal notes and pipeline in one place
Generate a rough score + valuation baseline
Right now it’s just something I use internally, but I’ve put up a simple pre-launch page to see if this resonates with others, simple email signup so people that are interested can be notified when (and if) the product launches.
If you’ve built in this space (or gone through acquisitions yourself), I’d be interested in your take.
Right now this is very fresh so while I'm in validation mode, I'm just testing the waters but I might also start to add the landing page to some of the main directories, see if the idea has some legs, but meanwhile would love to hear your thoughts, the landing page is live at clearmultiple.com
Be as unfiltered as you like, feedback is gold at this stage!

@davide_scalzo 700 hours of manual due diligence is exactly the kind of pain that makes a tool worth building. The P&L inconsistency flagging alone would save most buyers from a bad deal. Curious whether you're planning to integrate directly with Flippa or Acquire data or is the input still manual at this stage?

@vishal7017Â the idea is that it would all happen through the extension :)
