Would you rather see the calculation or the conclusion?

This has been one of the harder product decisions for me while building FixerFlip.

If software analyzes something complicated, should it give you the simple answer first, or make you work through the reasoning before giving you the conclusion?

I’m increasingly convinced that users want simplicity without losing the ability to inspect the reasoning.

That balance is surprisingly difficult to get right.

If a product makes a recommendation for you, how much of the reasoning do you actually want to see?
