I'm still building this cash flow simulator for trade businesses (electricians, HVAC, plumbers, small subcontractor crews, 3-15 people). I've got a handful of features I think are solid, but I honestly don't know if they're solid enough that someone would actually pay for this so throwing it out there.

What I'm planning:

• Monte Carlo simulation instead of one flat forecast number, so you see a range of outcomes instead of getting blindsided. is this actually useful, or overkill for a small crew that just wants a simple number?

• Pre-built templates by trade (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, subcontracting) so you're not starting from scratch. worth it? Its a good basis for businesses to already build off of, but these industries might be too nuanced?

• QuickBooks integration, so it pulls real numbers instead of manual entry. This feature seems to have the most apparent upside and just nice to have either way, but you can never be too sure if it will actually provide value.

• Models retainage (the payment chunk jobs hold back until work's fully done) using your own job history. I don't know how much this actually messes with people's day-to-day cash flow.

• Another feature I wanted to add was a benchmark system that lets you compare your numbers to others in your niche. curious if owners even want that, or if it feels pointless.

I am not trying to build features nobody asked for. If you run a trade business, or just know something business related, would any of this be worth paying for, or am I solving a problem that isn't really one?

Something that's been driving me crazy lately is how every "productivity tool" for founders requires creating an account, connecting 5 integrations, and learning a new workflow before you get any actual value. So I built the opposite.

It's a single-page dashboard that tracks your weekly goals, daily focus blocks, and a simple energy log. No signup, no database, everything saves to your browser. The whole point is you open the page, type your goals for the week, and close it. That's the entire flow. The tool gets out of your way instead of becoming another thing you need to manage.

Im at the point where I want to take the project beyond just being a learning os and make it closer to something that demonstrates real firmware and systems engineering

I've been building an AI that handles WhatsApp conversations for independent medical and dental clinics answering questions, quoting treatments, booking appointments, sending reminders.

The hardest design problem hasn't been the scheduling logic, it's been deciding exactly when the AI should stop and hand off to a human. Right now it escalates on anything sensitive or outside what the clinic configured, but I keep second-guessing where that line should sit in a trust-sensitive space like healthcare.

For anyone building agents in health, legal, or finance: how do you draw that line? Hard rules, confidence thresholds, or something else?
