Cogni - Protect your brain from AI induced cognitive decline (backed by 10+ research papers)

Cogni is a Chrome extension that makes you think before the AI does. It's built on 10+ research papers on what heavy AI use does to original thinking, including work from Harvard, MIT, UPenn and Microsoft itself.
In one of the studies students given unlimited GPT scored worse once it was taken away. They felt no difference.

I started building it after scrolling back through my own ChatGPT history one evening. I was looking for an old prompt and instead found dozens where I'd asked the AI to generate things from scratch that should have started with me. Names, angles, opening lines, first drafts of ideas. I wasn't editing my own thinking. I'd stopped supplying any.

Cogni sits on top of your ChatGPT or Claude session and only steps in when you're about to let the AI supply the substance. Fixing your grammar goes straight through. Asking it to write the whole thing from scratch gets a pause first: what's the core point you want to make, in your own words? You give it a line, then the AI helps. The idea stays yours. Nothing leaves your browser and no prompt text is ever stored.

Convert private repos to credibility with Gitfolio

Github does a poor job of presenting your work to viewers, so why do developers insist on including it in their resumes. I believe its because developers take pride in their craft and to be introduced by thier work.
Yet somehow developers' best work is hidden inside private repos: the side project that might have commercial potential, that company work that can't be open source, clients and consultancy work that's covered under NDA. If you are hiring developers based on thier github profile, you are optimising for the wrong profile.
That's why I made https://gitfolio.dev - mostly to scratch my own itch: present my best work better than github does, provide evidence for what I am good at, and keep updating it on an autopilot.
If you are a developer, you can give it a try for your own portfolio at https://gitfolio.dev - you can use it even without giving it access to your code.

We’re building CatchDex: a private FishDex for real-world anglers

Hey Product Hunt
We re building CatchDex, a private collection game for anglers who already take catch photos but want something more useful and fun than a camera roll.
The idea is simple:
Log a real catch use AI to help identify the species keep the exact spot private unlock a collectible FishDex card.
Most fishing apps focus on maps, forecasts, or finding spots. We re taking a different angle: what happens after the catch.
CatchDex helps anglers:
- turn catches into collectible FishDex cards
- keep fishing spots private with aliases instead of exposed coordinates
- track species progress, mastery, and season history
- create GPS-safe share cards
- build a personal fishing collection from real-world memories
The hardest part has been balancing game feel with trust. Anglers care deeply about not burning spots, so privacy can t be a bolt-on feature. It has to shape the whole product.
We re currently in beta and would love feedback from anglers, outdoor app builders, privacy-first product folks, or anyone who has thoughts on making real-world logging feel more rewarding.
Try it here:

Will people trust this thing before they even try it?

We are building a SaaS platform, and one thing I keep coming back to is security assurance.

Retrace is live on Product Hunt: record, replay, and fork your AI agent runs

Retrace records every LLM and tool call in an agent run, lets you replay it step by step like a video, and lets you fork any step to change the input and see how the run plays out differently. I built it because debugging an agent that failed in prod usually means re-running the whole thing and guessing, and I wanted to reproduce the exact run and change one step instead.

From solo side-hustle to official platform: SubmitForge is live

Hey everyone!, for a while now I've been doing startup directory submissions by hand, one founder at a time, as a solo operator. After seeing how much it helped people grow their Domain Authority and get real traffic, I decided to turn it into an official platform: SubmitForge.

What it does: we manually submit your startup to 150+ vetted, high-DA directories and media sites (Product Hunt, G2, Capterra, AP News, BetaList, and more). 100% by hand, zero bots or automation. You get a live Airtable tracker showing every submission and live listing link as it happens.
