Looks great but what can you say about its offline mode capabilities? Meaning, in our industry [Construction], people often sadly are in places WITHOUT Internet so does the tech have the smarts necessary to store the messages [preferably encrypted] on the device UNTIL a time that they are reconnected to a WiFi/Cell service and can 'pick up where they left off'? Without that ability - SendBird does nothing for me...;( Great to see a bunch of SDKs already available...
YK
@exlemor Hi Emmanuel, actually you can! Please take a look at https://docs.sendbird.com/ios#ca... We are also planning on implementing it within our sample code as well. Great to see a lot of interest in SDKs!
Emmanuel Lemor
@yaekyum Thanks for that - but hummm I'm NOT sure it's entirely fitting for the use case we have.. caching is great but it's a bit different than full offline mode isn't it? I'm thinking about features like being able to reply to someone's message and it sitting there in queue until an internet / wifi connection kicks in? My assumption [and we know how dangerous THOSE are ;) ] is that this caching mode/feature won't work in that respect? [I'm NOT an expert programmer so please forgive my ignorance]
YK
@exlemor When do you plan on implementing? Currently caching is done externally but in Q3 we will move internalize it within the SDK and message offline queuing will be available!
Emmanuel Lemor
@yaekyum well right now we have a 'working solution' { definition of working may vary from person to person ;) lol } but we are always looking for a smarter, better more complete, stable solution...
YK
@exlemor I see, please sign up and stay tuned! We send out bi-monthly feature update letters so it will be in your inbox once message offline queuing is available.

Do you have any "drop-in" UI for the JS SDK? I couldn't find it anywhere
YK
@mposborne Hi Mark, thanks for asking! We are internally rolling out JS SDK widget by the end of March. We will circulate a note to customers once publicly available.
James Futhey
@yaekyum @mposborne Thanks for the question/reply! Am interested in this as well.

@futhey glad to hear that!
Virect
We've been using SendBird for a while now for our Workroom and there's been no hiccup so far. The API was easy to integrate and is quite stable. Recommended.
YK
@virect Hi Virect, that is awesome, thank you for your support!
John S. Kim
@virect Thank you for the kind words!

We have been using SendBird for several months now, and it's the best messaging SDK we came across. Our product relies heavily on the messaging aspect, so we chose our chat SDK really carefully. Before settling on SendBird, we tried about 10 different chat SDKs. SendBird was the clear choice for us due to how customizable and flexible it is. This flexibility gave us the freedom to easily build many features using their SDK.

@i3omar Thank you so much for your support, Omar! It is extremely rewarding to have customers back us publicly!

@sanbaek thank you so much!

@sanbaek Thanks San!

Good product that saved us time so we didn't have to scale out a messaging service. One concern I had while using this was customer support though. Sometimes tickets would stay unanswered for weeks, so many times you were really on your own if you had problems / questions. Have you guys remedied this? Also, do you guys have plans on dropping an "embeddable" chat option -- similar to Stripe's simple checkout? That would save tons of time for anyone just trying to plug chat in quickly.

@patricklu10 Hi Patrik! Glad we were able to be of help. Apologize on the delayed CS, to address certain customers urgent needs to escalate individual questions or inquiries, we created a paid support plan that guarantees you return time (depending on your needs). Also, in general, SendBird 3.0 is very easy to use so we have had fewer inquiries. In addition, we have been much faster on average with all inquiries as we have been sizing up our team to handle requests. Regarding 'embeddable' chat option, thanks for asking! We are soon rolling out an embeddable JavaScript Widget. We will circulate an update e-mail once it is available!
John S. Kim
@patricklu10 Hey Patrick, it's good to see you here! Sorry for the delayed response. I do admit there's a good room for improvements here, so we'll be opening job positions for developer evangelists and sales engineers to address questions faster. We have a tight constraint on the resources at the moment due to growing number of inbound inquiries, but I can assure you that we are not slacking off! =)
