Short Circuit - Your ChatGPT and GPT-4 AI assistant on iOS, iPad & Mac

Hi Product Hunt, amazing to see Short Circuit listed here! Shorty is an app that started as a small prototype of using ChatGPT with Siri, but blossomed into what we believe is a premier native experience for ChatGPT and GPT-4 for iOS, iPad, and Mac. I’ve been an iOS developer since the first days of iOS, and an indie developer for the last year focusing on building high quality apps. When I started looking at AI what I didn’t see much of was love, polish, and care, and that’s so important for something that we’re going to be (and some of us are) using every single day. Many of our users have told us that Short Circuit was the first time they saw AI as something that wasn’t scary or nerdy. (I swear to you the app icon of every major ChatGPT app in the App Store is literally a brain floating in free space, and it says a lot about the vision people have for AI.) One of the ways we focused on humanizing our app is to give it a very distinct personality, which comes through in everything from the app icon to the animations and playfulness throughout the app. Talking with Shorty feels like a specific flavor of ChatGPT, bringing in the best parts of their fine tuned models with our sense of delight and joy. If you have different needs than the default personality we ship with, you can change any chat with a feature we call Personalities. Studies show that when you prime an AI with a role to play you can get better results as much as 92% of the time. Most people don’t know that nor should they have to, so we bundle Short Circuit with a dozen built-in personalities to help show you what it can do, and let you build personalities of your own for expert advice for other domains as well. It’s features like that which have built a really nice foundation for the future, and we hope to keep making AI a little more human… without being too human. Love the product. I recommend adding a scanning feature due to the nature of a mobile/web app. I think there'd be a lot of practical uses if gpt4 could interact with user images/recordings. Coincidentally, my startup ezML offers powerful computer vision integration so let me know if you need that functionality for Short Circuit. Anyhow, congrats on the launch and I'm excited to see where this heads!
