Sketch a Day: artist community & prompts - Daily prompts, powered by our positive community of artists

While I treat this app like a game, it has helped my art grow over the year. Sketching a day is a goal, however, artists can pick a prompt and complete an artwork a week if preferred. I've managed one 30+ day run in a year. I highly recommend trying this challenge.

To commit myself to more practice, I've been looking for an app that gives me daily prompts for drawing, like I like to use for journaling. With the Sketch A Day app, I found not only daily prompts but also a kind community of artists. Love it!

Greetings, I'm one of the members of Sketch a Day and I sure have to say that this application has helped me a lot improving myself. Of course I'm not a master at drawing by far, but with the fact of drawing something with a topic, it's a quite simple way to improve yourself, I started on the 1st of January 2020 (left around 15th of January and returned around july, I forgot when exactly), and I passed from horrible trash that barely passed as a drawing, but now, even though I still don't draw what I would consider great digital drawing, I'm happy with what I draw and I hope Sketch a Day and I improve ourselves overtime, even once when I lost my streak due to a glitch, a moderator helped me restore it and hopefully they fixed the glitch because I wouldn't want anybody else to suffer that. Great application overall, and if you just started drawing or want to have topics to make drawings of, this is your place! Thank you for reading, Okuos Sapiens.

Hi, I made this app to get my mum and wife to start drawing again. They're both really artistic but always say "I don't know what to draw and haven't got time." Started marketing it by going on Instagram bothering artists to try our app. We used to get 10 submissions on a good day, and now it's over 1000. Still developing it and adding new features. Still running it on a shoestring!

I've always wanted to have a creative outlet, but never pushed myself to follow up on it. A few years ago I started drawing from a really helpful beginners book, but only dabbled. Since using Sketch a Day I've turned it into a daily habit, and it's helped push me to try and draw out of my comfort zone (with mixed results haha). I would highly recommend it, and it has the most positive, supportive community, no matter your experience level. A little bit of daily positivity to get you through some challenging times!

I started using sketch a day app about an year ago, now I have so much grown up in my painting skills. The unique community of people and daily prompts, very much needed for every artist to grow.. I found it in this app! One other bonus is the tutorial page... I love trying new ideas posted there.. Highly recommended app for any level artist (even a non-artist too)

This application helps me a lot, having a social anxiety is not easy. Drawing is my best outlet to ease my mind. It gives me satisfaction and happiness. Through this app, I find myself falling in love again in art.

I love how this app gives you a prompt to draw with, and gather inspiration from what others have drawn. You get up to 7 drawing prompts ahead of time to ponder "what will i draw next?" The ideas are endless!!

This app and the community it built around is an excellent medium for artist to level up their skills and confidence. Everyone is really nice and up-lifting. I found a lot of amazing styles that inspired me and it simply helps me to keep on drawing.
