@aaronoleary I love the command centre. I hope they get the balance right long-term and don't listen **TOO** much to the Luddites out there. I think reading pain is pretty much a must and quicker access to emails with less clicking should also be a high priority - so much of sparks ethos is speed and efficiency, several clicks to get to an email doesn't fit with this. I think offering folk options on how they see their emails would be good - e.g. I've never been a fan of having emails bundled together.

Best email client on market, now covering all platforms. I take premium account without any hesitate. In century when email is dying, this app is making you to start loving again email communication. My review is not paid review (for your information), I am using Spark already more then 5 years, watching progress and now it deserve spread of words. Big applause for Readdle team. Keep up the good work!

@elena_obilets Like UX/UI designer, i can say that you make risky and brave upgrade, I think it will be people that will more prefer classic look. I think it needs time to get used to, with premium features it is really serious tool that can save time for people who receives big amounts of email on daily basis. Time will tell, but it think this is good direction.

@ognjen_odobasic yep, we totally understand that and are keeping an eye on all customer feedbacks - I'm pretty sure there would be some additional tune-ups and transformations ahead to solve people's problems with email and focus better!

It's a no from me dawg. I am an avid Spark advocate, but I cannot see that this overhaul spoke to anyone who spends more than an hour in their inbox every day. As others have pointed out, there are no too many basic UX oversights. They say all the same features are there... they're not. Shared drafts are "on the wishlist". I've encountered no shortage in bugs in one day of usage. I get that it's new, but this feels like an alpha release from an inexperienced startup, at best. If anyone knows similar apps with team chat, I am all ears.

Hi Nathan, thank you for the feedback. We have released the new Spark app with no feature parity with other platforms as we believed that even on the current stage, the new app would already help the broad audience with the existing email and focus problems with the new feature set - we wanted to get the feedback from the wide market on what we’ve built, so released it earlier, while continuing to add the missing features to reach feature parity with Spark 2 on Mac. Shared Drafts are actually in development for the new Spark and we plan to release them soon - so they are not in wishlist, they are being developed at the moment. Most of the things which were mentioned woyld be delivered in the upcoming months. I am sorry to hear that the new app didn't work well for you - we would appreciate if you share the feedback on the UX oversights which are most critical for you and bugs with our customer support team. We listen to the customers feedback closely, and there would be surely more further updates of the functionality.

We've been using spark in our mac based small business for 3 years, we are paid team premium users and shared drafts, emails and chat etc has been a game changer for us. Feel gutted as not really any slick alternatives out there with same features but I know in the current state users won't be happy to migrate to V3 Desktop. Just not efficient enough UI (no multi windows, too many clicks) and so many missing features. Readdle what were you thinking? Please go back to a native mac app, add three pane and new experience as an option. Should be easy to add new features like the V3 iOS on Mac and postpone the windows electron app. Use that code base invested in that for Windows and Web/Browser version only. Keep paid for team only, maybe web version to cover hosting. Please see sense.

Sharing the same sentiment as many users on here - supremely disappointing update that seemed to be made without proper user research and testing. I've used Spark for probably 5 years, and if this ends up being a forced upgrade, it will be the end of life for this product for me...which is incredibly heartbreaking.

@jesse_wallace Sorry to hear you’re not enjoying the new Spark release. We do recognise that the new focused approach of Spark is a dramatic overhaul from the previous version. That is why the previous version of Spark still remains, and we do not force users to upgrade to it. All the old features you enjoyed are still free on the new Spark. Premium is a small selection of new tools that we’ve developed to take prioritising your inbox to new heights - but is by no means a mandatory subscription.

@elena_obilets That's simply not true - the features I enjoyed was part of the previous design/workflow. Lack of multi-column view, no pinnable sidebar, removal of the delete button that trashes 3 emails at a time in a bundle... the list goes on but the fact remains is that the new design doesn't allow near as fast as a workflow, which is exactly what Spark had going for it before.

I love Spark, it is my main app since Inbox was killed. I just wish it didn't try to fetch email every time I quit it. It is the most annoying UX thing I've ever seen. If I want to quit, I don't want to load anything. I both love and hate Spark. Anyway, it is 100x better than Apple Mail, which is a shame app, and 10x better than Outlook. So I keep recommending to my friends! Also love that you finally got rid of App Store. Congrats!! Edit: where is dark theme? 😭 I'll keep using the old version.
