The app seems to be cool, but theres some things I think are crucial and I'm missing:
- Multiple accounts, I currently use multiple Google accounts, with drive and inbox, also with iTunes connect
- I think will be much cool to have tabs instead of the list in the hover sidebar (and to differentiate with multiple accounts just could use colors or the profile pic of the account)
- Different notification sound for each app, try to match with the native app
What I don't like, the hover sidebar, its so annoying.
What I don't understand, why I would add more app instances if it shares the same account and also appears twice (or more) in the sidebar.
I read that the app will have password manager integration, hope if it supports keychain.
Regards
@norman784:
- we do support multiple Google accounts! Just add an other Gmail, or whatever and it'll ket you connect it to new account
- yes, we are considering it
- good idea!
- hover sidebar: we are fixing it currently
- I think it's a bug, already reported here: we are fixing it, you can delete these doublon apps

I absolutely love this. Just downloaded it yesterday, hooked in 14 of my most used services and I'm away with this one app and Safari running on my Mac. It's brilliant. Quick question for the founders though - is there a keyboard shortcut to help me switch apps, or at least activate the search field so I can type and switch apps easily?

@_amitsbajaj - Press Ctrl + H when inside Station to get a list of Keyboard shortcuts
Me, watching the video:
"Pffff... it's just like Franz... what's the big..."
"Oh..."
"Oh damn!"
"Wait, seriously?"
"How much does this cost?
"OK, definitely trying it out."

Pros: nice way to have numerous apps "bundled"
Cons: no clean differentiation between "personas" I may have an account for each "persona"
Persona example 1: marketing agency; need to switch between clients and have twitter, google analytics, etc for each client
Persona example 2: personal vs work accounts on the same apps
EDIT: after adding/deleting outlook it keeps me logged into a bad account and won't let me start from scratch
@ckluis thanks for the "personna" feature. We are considering it, but it's not our top priority for now.

Is there a way to create a custom service or app that you don't have listed? I.e. If you don't have an app listed that I want to use (mysms, etc), I could just input the info manually?
I'm loving the concept!
I do have a list of notes, I'm glad I could also post these in the app, but here goes:
• In the shortcut page, the shortcuts for editing should be called "Editing" or "edit" - not edition.
• I'm having trouble with the "preferences of an app show on hover"
• Did you consider allowing skins or themes?
• I tried to edit the App's preferences, but could not find them. (I'd like to disable the "show config on hover")
• On Mac, an App's preferences are always CMD+, - please put them there :)
• As far as a theme is concerned: please consider a dark mode without gradients. The current gradients and color scheme makes it feel more windows Vista, less Mac.
• The invisible title bar makes it hard to know when I'm dragging the App around, and when I'm just dragging inside of the App.
• CMD+W *really* needs to "Close window" - Hide Window is not enough :) - It's a Mac standard shortcut. For now, I mapped CMD+W to "Hide Station" through the OSX standard shortcut preferences, it works! yay :)
@fruityth1ng thank you for your feedbacks!
• ok fixed
• can you elaborate please?
• no we have not thought about skins. Though, the theme changes throughout the day.
• no preferences for now. We are fixing the "Show config on hover" to make it less disturbing
• 👆
• the app is nor Vista nor Mac, it's Station ;) Wait for the nite for the dark mode — really! :)
• yes, we are trying to fix that
• indeed, but we do nothing on Cmd+W nor hide nor close, because Chrome users are used to the fact that Cmd+W close the current tab and therefore were surprised of the result of a Cmd+W. Kudo for the personal shortcut.
