Hi guys! I'm one of the co-founders of Stream. We started this because our friends and family members were super annoyed about having to text Zoom links and Venmo requests for events they were hosting with paying clients. We talked to them and came up with a product that lets you (1) create a landing page (2) manage payments (3) start a Zoom livestream with 1-click. Let us know what you think!
This seems like a useful product that could enable small businesses that offer training services like classes to operate during COVID-19 and could also be the catalyst to help these businesses reach a wider audience during normal times. Setting this service up with one easy-to-use application could be the difference maker that persuades small businesses who would otherwise operate soley in-person to shift toward offering some content online.

@derck_hoogeboom Thanks Derck! Jun and I had been working through a couple of different ideas around driving income and the future of work. Stream became super clear to us because the people we'd talk to *needed* a solution. We chose to start with Zoom because it was the service that most of the people we interviewed were already comfortable with using the software.

Great touch on the landing page customization and using Stripe / Venmo - makes it so that you don't have to rely on one videoconf or payment platform.
I'm saying this as Zoom already provides an option for registration and was initially confused as to what your differentiation is but I get it, kudos and looking forward to using Streaming out!

@hunter_trujillo We talked to over 30+ hosts while we built the product and we chose Zoom because it was their preferred tool. We're proactively thinking about ways we can improve this experience and bring this in-house.
