Terra.do - Everything you need to work in climate ✅

I couldn’t think of anything better to do with the rest of my career. Let’s all work in climate!

I started out with Terra.do as a fellow In the Orcas cohort (which was an amazing experience!) and went on to invest in their seed round to have now joined the team. This was because mission to get 100 million people working in climate truly resonates with me. It has also been because of the incredible team. The team is extremely passionate and mission oriented with a strong bias for action. For learning, Terra has taken the very complex problem of climate and put out the best modular and actionable content. The coursework and lab sessions make it easy for you to grasp the problem and the solutions. For jobs, it’s the best place for companies because of the job fairs and the highly qualified community of job seekers. For anyone wanting to work towards climate action, Terra is the place to be!

From being part of the very first cohort to joining the team and contributing to many more, the one thing that keeps inspiring me is the calibre and dedication of people showing up to work in climate. There has been some positive climate news recently but there is a LOT more to do and I am excited to keep building towards our missing of getting 100 million people working on climate solutions this decade.

My climate journey started in 2013, when I was between jobs and saw An Inconvenient Truth for the first time. This started in earnest my journey to get into climate change mitigation. I tried taking classes on the side of my primary work, but I didn't find it to result in much. I finally took the plunge and joined the 2021 cohort at Terra.do. Importantly, this allowed me to connect with like-minded folks at my target intersection (synthetic biology x climate change mitigation) and through these conversations I learned that the best path for me was to pursue my PhD in chemical engineering. The network here was the key for me!

Everyone who passes through Terra says the same thing—that it’s a special place. Really proud to have it in my life.

I have been following Terra.do from the very beginning and have been amazed by the passion and energy they're bringing to the greatest challenge of our times. Fantastic work by Anshuman, Kamal and the rest of the Terra team! The planet is rooting for you.

Taking Terra.do's Learning for Action course was definitely the best experience I had this year to gain a comprehensive understanding of complex issues around climate change. Now with this new app, I am looking forward to keeping to learn as well as meeting like-minded professionals for future collaboration. I really like a metaphor of Terra.do as "Linkedin for Climate" !

I think Terra and us were meant to be. Speaking with Anshuman once , twice, thrice and then numerous times got the problem and the opportunity both into sharp focus. We had to be a part of this and join the mission of the company and the founders to impact climate tech space massively. The community that Terra is building will be the largest on the planet for driven change makers in Climate. Super excited to be a part of it and learning with so many seeking minds.

Terra.do was such a big part of my transition towards working in impact! The content, community and opportunities that it unlocked were outstanding.
