ToText by Lovelace Loom: now in ChatGPT, plus a new Home with Insights, Calendar and Tasks

by•

Hi all, Eyal here. I make ToText.

Quick update on what's new, and a small clarification, because a few apps and sites share the name.

ToText by Lovelace Loom is an iOS app. You record or import a lecture, interview, meeting or voice memo and get a transcript, a summary, action items and answers to your questions, in 60 languages. No ToText account is needed. Transcription runs in the cloud.

What's new:

  • ToText in ChatGPT. Connect it from Settings > ChatGPT in the app, add ToText in ChatGPT with the same Apple account, then ask things like "find my latest recording" or "show my open tasks". It can quote the transcript and update your tasks.

  • A new Home with Insights and charts from your recordings library.

  • A weekly Calendar to find recordings by day.

  • Tasks: the action items you pick from recordings, all in one place.

  • Share audio or video from another app straight into ToText to transcribe it.

  • Summaries you can tune by length and style, speaker labels, playback that follows the transcript, and PDF export.

(Home, Insights, Calendar and Tasks need iOS 26.)

About the name: we're not the older ToText app from another developer on the App Store, not totext.app, and not ToText by MCP Central. If the developer isn't Lovelace Loom, it's a different product.

Question for anyone who records lectures or interviews: once a transcript is in your chat, what's the first thing you'd ask it?
