Does all the encryption, file sharing and blockchain integration slow down the performance?
Mert Baser
@nazlidanis That's a great question and one of the major pain points for blockchain-integrated startups. However, we spent almost three years creating the most robust architecture and optimizing our protocol to enhance the performance πŸ’― End result? As an end-user, you feel no difference in the performance than traditional solutions you might use today πŸš€

This is interesting! Is it available for IOS?
Tuna Ozen
@julia_kazlova Hello Julia, it also will be available but it requires some additional time than Android as Apple doesnt prefer to care the user privacy and want to monitor everything, we try to be inline but also keep things as it should be for our users.

Congrats on launching TransferChain! How does your product address security concerns related to file sharing that other products don't?
Tuna Ozen
@tjerkienator Hello Douwe, thank you for your great question. Regarding your question; I'd like to provide more but as we're in patenting phase, the sum up would be like this; * No single point of failure following the data as it's not stored as whole, we shard the data in client side and distribute it across multiple storage providers. So your data can be in Google Cloud, AWS, Digital Ocean etc. at the same time. As our architecture is Cloud Agnostic, you can think as any provider your can imagine. and as micro pieces distributed to different locations, none of the providers can read or understand what's the data about. *As we do the whole encryption and sharding processes in client side, potential dangers in transit phase is mostly eliminated. *From TransferChains point of view, we never see your data in an unencrypted state, so we can not know what is your storage, transfer is message about. *We use industry standart cryptographic primitives, so no unjustifiable cryptographic methods. I hope those answers your question, Tuna

@tjerkienator an addition to @tuna_ozen s comment, for example, if you compare our technology with other technologies such as Wetransfer, what we do that they dont; - TransferChain uses client-side end-to-end encryption by default, thus any file you send over TransferChain is invisible to everyone but you and the intended recipients - at any given time. - Your encryption key never leaves your client's device. - Your encrypted data gets split into multiple chunks before it leaves your client device, and those chunks are then uploaded to a distributed cloud - eliminating a single point of failure risk. - No advertisements, no trackers, no cookies. - Due to the nature of client-side encryption and file sharding TransferChain is protected against man-in-the-middle attacks.

How or why is blockchainΒ used?
Tuna Ozen
@susantez Hello Serkan, thank you for the great question. In a simple explanation; we use blockchain instead of centralized server structures following our processes. We dont want to store/keep anything related to file operations with a centralized manner, our ultimate plan is to decentralize our decision making in blockchain network as we dont want to be dominant decision maker (which would be another way of centralizing the process). The potential of decentralization is impossible when the process managed by centralized servers on our control.
