@chrismessina hey! Thanks for chatting. Sort of...on a base level maybe. We are more focused on providing a new way to both consume the news and to speak up on it. We think the fact that we have an awesome in house editorial team of curators that populate the featured feed and constantly ping stories out to the most relevant contributor makes us different. Tumbleweed! One of my new favorite things.
I have been beta testing this app and have really loved seeing where this is going. I feel like I have lots of opinions about topics occurring in society, and this has been a perfect way to express to the world my thoughts and feelings. Seeing and hearing what everyone has to say about topics that are sometimes controversial is important and also very interesting. This is an app that takes Instagram and twitter to another level!

Amazing app! I've been beta testing Tumbleweed and couldn't be more impressed. Raw, unfiltered, and honest.
Finely curated, with the luxury to push your own content, ideas, and stories that the media either misses, or ignores altogether.
Bottom line, I'm done with the metaphorical echo chamber. I want to learn, I want to understand, and furthermore, I want to grow. Tumbleweed is the drug. Very well done.
@pavlo_kuznetsov Ahhh yes! We have a few opportunities we are looking at and all are very positive. External source links, embeddable content ( we have a ton! ) , and in a way, we really look at ourselves as a disruptive news media outlet similar to when Vice showed up on the scene and quickly became a force to be reckoned with...ALL THREE? and then some other tricks up our sleeve...
@mrciscoadler appreciate your fast response. Not sure about embedded content tho, because Tumbleweed content is more personal than, say, Twitter has. Other ideas make sense without no doubt
As someone who share my thoughts daily on snapchat, this is pretty much an extension, but being able to reach more public audience on larger topics. Pretty cool! If theres a business section .. you'll see me hanging around there! ;P

I’ve been testing the app since the start, and it’s impressive how much it has developed! I absolutely love being able to express myself in a safe community. I also really enjoy seeing what other people have to say about important issues and love that there is some humor sprinkled in while talking about serious topics. I look forward to building my own voice and boosting my confidence about speaking out on things that matter :)
