I gave it a go and I've been very disappointed with the experience. A lot of bugs, performance issues and the UI looks very weird overall for a Mac app, IMO. Was expecting a lot more. With other alternatives, like Tweetbot, you just can't go back.
I've used tweetbot for a long time now, does everything I need it to. Multiple accounts, multiple panes, saved searches etc.
Just wish they'd update the favourite star to the like heart

I was a long time user of the Twitter Mac app, but somehow migrated to Tweetdeck. This looks nice, but I'm not sure if it'll entice me back. I just wish Twitter would do the sensible thing and merge the two apps and give the option of Simple vs Advanced layouts.

@frassmith I so agree with you! An advanced x Simple Layout would do wonders
The blue bar with blue icons seems really strange to me. The features in the screenshots aren't too exciting.

I'm still a big fan of Tweetbot, and there's nothing about this update that will make me switch. Design-wise, at least for me, there is still too much wasted space, and I can't squeeze it down small enough to stay on the right side of my monitor like I keep my current client constantly.

Crashed on me on the very first launch...TweetDeck never did!
i am not sure if this is a bug but no animation on el capitan. feels very choppy.

Tried it, got annoyed with the bugs, went back to Tweetdeck. Still, at least they're updating it again…

Who can I complain to about new tweets being appended to the top right by default with no way of changing it? Otherwise, pretty stoked about this update. Reading and writing quote tweets how intended is probably the best part of the whole update.
