Thanks @rohanrecommends for hunting us! Hello, good people of Product Hunt! 👋 Ever thought why writing essays, assignments or even research papers via AI continues to remain a herculean task despite so many tools out there that promise to do it for you? If you have all your notes and research together, it ideally should not be so difficult to put together a written piece that is both well-written and well-researched, given the state of AI today, right now. After the fantastic response to the SciSpace Copilot launch last year (#3 Product of the Day), this is the challenge we took up next and I’m proud to announce the launch of the SciSpace AI Writer — a tool that makes writing beautiful essays and fine-tuning research papers accessible to everyone. —— SciSpace AI Writer makes full use of our years of experience in research and helps just about anyone write essays, assignments and research that are accurate, tonally right and have citations! Unlike other tools in the market, it is trained on over 280 million research papers and is built keeping all the different user personas in mind — students, academics and researchers. 👊 Here’s everything you get with a free sign-up: → Choose and change tones with a click → The ability to export your output in 75+ languages → Slash commands to help you create entire outlines → Incredibly fast autocomplete when you are stuck anywhere → A rich-text editor that lets you write just the way you want to → Cite from our ever-expanding library of 280M+ research papers or add your own sources ✨ But here’s where things get really interesting: → You can use and save notes from anywhere across the SciSpace platform on to your draft. For example, if you are dissecting a research paper on our copilot tool, simply tap and click on “Save to Notebook”. This makes the process of research and writing seamless — we see SciSpace as the place where you can do everything without having to constantly switch tabs → Because we realise that a big chunk of users for this tool will be students, we have kept the pricing as affordable as possible. We created an Arcade interactive demo showing our customers' logged-in experience: Logged-in Walkthrough SciSpace is already used by nearly 2 million people worldwide and we hope this tool is able to help them and everyone else who has ever struggled with writing. I look forward to valuable feedback and suggestions from the PH community! :)

@rohanrecommends @saikiranchandha Congrats on bringing SciSpace AI Writer to life!
@rohanrecommends @saikiranchandha Cheers to the launch! Wishing you great success and new milestones. How long did it take to develop this?

@rohanrecommends @saikiranchandha SciSpace AI Writer's focus on making academic writing accessible and efficient is commendable. The ability to leverage AI for tasks like outlining, generating content, and managing citations can significantly streamline the research and writing process. Here are some questions for further exploration: - Can users customize the AI's writing style or tone to match specific requirements or academic conventions? - How does SciSpace ensure the privacy and security of user data, especially when dealing with sensitive academic information? - Does SciSpace integrate with other academic tools or platforms (e.g., citation managers, note-taking apps)? As a developer with experience in AI and natural language processing, I'm interested in how SciSpace works. Here are some potential areas for collaboration: - Contributing to the development and refinement of the AI models used for generating text and citations. - Exploring additional features like plagiarism detection, grammar checking, or collaboration tools. - Integrating SciSpace with popular academic tools or platforms to create a more seamless workflow. I'd love to learn more about SciSpace's technical architecture and explore opportunities to contribute to its development. Additionally, I'm interested in trying out SciSpace AI Writer to see how it can improve my own writing efficiency and productivity.

Pumped for this, Saikiran! As an old user of SciSpace (and typeset), this makes me incredibly excited. Tried it out, and the whole thing is fairly seamless and definitely gives better output than the ChatGPTs of the world. How do you plan to keep improving? More data? Are there different models being used?
Saikiran Chandha
@msal_paul Our goal is to enhance each generation with in-depth literature reviews on the topic, ensuring significantly higher quality, supported by robust citations.

Tried this because I’ve been dealing with writer’s block, and it really helped! I managed to write two pages in 15 minutes :’) The suggestions for the next sentences helped me move the story along, and the AI command made writing my character’s emotional past much easier (much much much better than ChatGPT). It also translated my writing into other languages, which was cool. One thing though—while it suggests research papers for citations, would it be possible to find recent blogs or news articles to cite? Bloggers would love that! Great work, @saikiranchandha and team. Loving it so far!
Saikiran Chandha
So glad to hear it helped with your writer’s block! We’re thrilled you’re loving the features. Adding recent blogs or news articles for citations is a great suggestion—definitely something for us to explore. Thanks for the feedback! 😊 @madalsa_bhat

Looks like a solid tool for researchers and students! The AI writer with citations is a game-changer. One thing I'd love to see is a plagiarism checker built-in – that'd be super helpful for academic work. Also, it'd be cool if they could integrate with reference management tools like Zotero or Mendeley. Overall, though, this seems like a great addition to the research toolkit.
Saikiran Chandha
@andyroamer Thanks for the kind words. Yes, we are integrated with Zotero, more integrations are coming soon including plagiarism check.

Looking good, I like how this can help you to be a better writer. Congrats on the launch :)
Saikiran Chandha
@alexdigitalmkt Thanks for the kind words. I hope you like this one.

Can provide with the daily paper notes or the paper import accumulated in zotero?, let him know more about what I do, and give valuable answers that conform to my habits.

Love the thought put behind this. Most tools I see in this category are too broad and don’t know the focus. Super important when it comes to LLMs today. Great job guys, excited to check and do more with this!
Saikiran Chandha
@dd_9621 Thank you! We completely agree—staying focused is key with LLMs. We're excited for you to explore it further!

This is promising, is it different from scite.ai? Nonetheless kudos for building this, all the best @saikiranchandha
Saikiran Chandha
@pradhumn_vijayvargiya Scite.ai primarily focuses on displaying citation intent, and with this launch, we are introducing a new feature that empowers academics to write papers more efficiently.
Nitesh Jamod
Congratulations, @saikiranchandha on the launch! Citations on demand save time and are nice since they simplify and clarify difficult language.
Saikiran Chandha
@nitesh_jamod Thanks so much! Glad you're finding the citation feature and simplification helpful! Appreciate the support! 🙌
