I kept running into this problem where epics had missing or unreliable dates in Jira, so Gantt charts were useless. I ended up building a view-only fallback system.

A day after launching TrackLens, one thing really stood out to me.
The biggest problem with Jira epic planning isn’t missing features.
It’s missing confidence.
Epic dates are often unreliable.
What-if planning happens in spreadsheets.
Risk shows up too late.
I built TrackLens not to replace Jira, but to make it easier to see and reason about Jira safely, even when the data is messy.
The biggest surprise after launch?
People cared less about Gantt charts and more about not breaking Jira.
