Beacon is now Live on Apple App Store for Mac

byβ€’

Hey everyone! πŸ‘‹

I’m super excited to announce that after weeks of development (and a few rounds of back-and-forth with Apple Review πŸ˜…), my new app Beacon is officially live on the Mac App Store!

The Problem: As a blogger and SEO professional, the most frustrating part of the job was always The Wait. You publish a great article, and then... you wait days (or weeks) for Google to actually index it. I got tired of manually inspecting URLs in Search Console.

The Solution: I built Beacon to fix this. It’s a native macOS utility that connects directly to the Google Indexing API and Bing Webmaster Tools. You just paste your URL (or an entire Sitemap), click "Broadcast," and the search engines are notified instantly.

Why I built it as a native Mac App: I didn't want another SaaS subscription that stores my API keys on a random server. Beacon is privacy-first: your keys and data stay 100% local on your machine.

Key Features:

  • πŸš€ Instant Indexing: Bypass the crawler queue.

  • πŸ—ΊοΈ Sitemap Support: Auto-parse and submit hundreds of URLs.

  • πŸ”’ Privacy: No middleman servers.

  • 🍏 Native UI: Built with SwiftUI for that clean macOS feel.

It's free to download and try out. I’d love to hear your feedback on the UI or any features you think I should add next!

Download from Apple App Store.

Cheers,

Sanjay
