OMG, CastConductor drops on (TBA)
Hi Product Hunters!
I only just discovered Product Hunt recently in a video on the Starter Story YouTube channel (shoutout @thepatwalls— love your channel!). Gotta be honest, I’m nervous — the docs recommend building your presence over 1–3 months. We're launching (TBA)!! Dun dun dunnnnn. So, either I fall on my face (probably) or curiosity gives us a little lift. Either way, I'm super grateful. 🙏
Over the last 6 months, I’ve been obsessively building CastConductor. It started as a personal project to solve my own problem building a custom Roku app for ACiD877.com, and I completely missed the #BuildInPublic boat.
A little history: there have only been a handful of commercial dance stations in the United States, and I’m a veteran programmer of the Electronic Dance Music format — having managed five of them. I’ve worn every hat along the way: on-air, production, programming, marketing, sales, engineering, and upper management.
I’ve always lived by the philosophy: “Build your dreams, or someone will hire you to build theirs.” After taking a sabbatical from radio, inspired by the possibilities of AI, I wondered if I could leverage it to develop apps. Using AI to build CastConductor felt like speaking another language without learning it, making iterating fast, feel almost like cheating (in a good way). Honestly, I wasn’t even thinking about creating CastConductor. It happened by accident. But there was a moment when I realized I could probably solve this problem for others.
I’m launching CastConductor - a platform built to solve Roku app development complexity, cost, and help creators launch their own Roku channel. We finally reached MVP last week, and the very first app built with CastConductor went live in the Roku App Store this week. Check out CastConductor App Uno [here] if you have a Roku device. It’s an example of what you can build out-of-the-box with CastConductor.
I’d be honored if you’d take a leap with me on this launch! 🙏 🚀
What is CastConductor?
It’s actually two products working together: a WordPress plugin and a custom Roku app.
CastConductor connects the content management system you already know: (WordPress) to the streaming device in millions of living rooms: (Roku).
Our visual canvas editor lets you create, customize, and publish your content visually, reaching over 90 million Roku devices.
In our own testing, we submitted on a Wednesday and were live in the Roku App Store by Monday.
Why did we build this?
Building a Roku app isn’t just hard — it’s brutal. BrightScript, SceneGraph, and budgets that could buy a new car (not kidding).
CastConductor is what we wish existed back then: a simpler, more accessible way to build and manage a Roku app without the usual pain. We hope it earns a permanent spot in your workflow and contributes to your success!
For Product Hunters Only!
Every subscription comes with a free 2-week trial. For Product Hunt, use code HUNT at checkout, and we’ll waive the one-time setup fee ($49–$499) for a limited time.

I’m listening, and welcome your feedback, ideas, and questions. If you’re a creator, or if you know someone who wants to get their content onto Roku, check out the live demo (no signup required) and let me know what you think. I’m also looking for theme pack designers — if you’re interested, you keep 100% of your sales.
Thank you for welcoming me into this community. I’m excited to learn, grow, and share with you all.
Brandon
