OpenAI is launching a new version of GPT...what do you think about it?

by

ChatGPT has moved from “something fun to try” to an essential tool that quietly sits in the background of almost everything we do without us even noticing it.

With 5.1, it feels like OpenAI has listened to all the people complaining about the lack of "humanity" in GPT5 compared to 4 and, as always, I have more questions than answers.

Will ChatGPT now feel more like a colleague than a tool?

As reasoning keeps improving, will we rely on it more for judgment and not just speed? Will we let it make decisions about our businesses and personal lives?

If responses become near-instant and near-perfect, will we stop trying our own ideas first?

How do makers stay original when the AI everyone uses gets better at “sounding right”?

These are very exciting and frightening times, especially for people like us at NiceJourney, whose work is based on creativity. We use AI in our everyday work, but we keep it at a distance, wondering if it'll ever completely replace us.

For the moment, that's not happening, and people still need and want to work with other human beings to ensure originality and authenticity.

But GPT-5.1 certainly raises new questions about how we collaborate with AI.

What do you think will change most in your workflow?
