When you're bootstrapping, cash is handled very carefully. You don't have thousands to drop on an agency just to see if your idea has legs. But you still need words to write social posts, a simple landing page to gauge interest, maybe a full email sequence, and much more.
From what I ve seen as a professional writer, most new founders tend to rely on three main alternatives:
DIY route: Firing up ChatGPT and hoping for the best, maybe thinking, "That's how everybody's doing it now, so that must be the best way."
Gig roulette: Hiring a freelancer on Fiverr or Upwork who does everything, from branding to graphic design and copywriting. Feels like saving a lot of money until you see the results.
Internal favor: Tapping the co-founder or team member who "knows how to write" to draft the copy. Kind of like the -My cousin does it better- version for start-ups.
Hey everyone 👋
We’re the team behind NiceJourney, a small but mighty crew of creatives who take your brand seriously.
We built NiceJourney because we’ve seen how hard it is for startups to get consistent, high-quality creative work without breaking the bank or losing control. Hiring in-house is expensive, agencies can feel distant, and freelancers are often unpredictable.
So we created something in between:
✅A flexible creative subscription that covers branding, design, copy, and marketing
✅A dedicated team you talk to directly on Slack or video calls (no dashboards, no bots)
✅Transparent pricing, unlimited tasks, and the freedom to pause anytime
💡 Every new customer starts with a 7-day free trial — no strings attached.
🎁 And just for the Product Hunt community, we’re offering 20% off your first month of subscription.
Our goal is simple: to give growing teams access to senior-level creativity, without the usual drama.
We’d love your thoughts, feedback, and questions. Or just say hi in the comments!
Congratulations on the launch, the website looks great! Although I am not looking for a design solution, I do find the messaging slightly confusing - the top title says "...One flat fee..."' but once I scroll below it appears that it is actually subscription based and has different pricing depending on feature set (e.g. EUR1950/month or custom pricing)? Further to that, it is not entirely clear how much of your time or outcomes would I get for a given package. I am sure it is hard to price design services for a wide variety of potential needs, but it just feels a bit confusing to me. Apart from that - looks great!
What I love about these folks at NiceJourney is their strong spirit especially after the number of product iterations they did for continuous improvement. You have indeed come a long way, and I can say this because I had seen the earlier unreleased web version.
Waiting for your success story in future...
@ashok_nayak Thank you very much for your support and your kind words, we really appreciate them :)
👋 Hey everyone,
I’m Tommi, co-founder of NiceJourney, together with Pamela — and we’re really excited to finally be here today!
NiceJourney is not just another design subscription.
We built it after seeing how many founders and marketing teams were stuck between two extremes:
agencies that are too slow (and too expensive), and freelancers who can’t guarantee continuity.
1. Direct communication.
No middle managers, no ticket systems. You talk directly with us, the people actually doing the work.
2. Continuity.
You always work with the same trusted professionals. We get to know your brand inside out and grow with it, not just design for it while still being able to pause your subscription anytime.
3. Few clients at a time.
We’re not chasing volume. We prefer to focus on a handful of clients, stay close to their needs, and deliver quality that lasts.
4. All-in-one creative support.
While most design subscriptions focus only on visuals, we cover everything:
branding, art direction, design, web development, and content writing. Basically, a creative department tailored to your needs.
If you’ve ever wished your brand had an embedded creative team that actually gets your style and priorities, that’s what we’re building.
We’d love your feedback, questions, or even just a quick hello in the comments!

Are you a design agency or a productised service?

Or hybrid model?
@busmark_w_nika Right to the point!
We liked design agencies for certain aspects (especially more in-depth and tailored relationships with clients) and productised services for others (very streamlined, easy to use, and leaner in general).
So, we decided to create a hybrid model that combines the best of both.
That's why our design subscription is different from others: this model doesn't allow us to have dozens of clients at the same time, but we can focus on a few and provide really personalized services.

@pamela_arienti Thank you for clarification of your launch :)

Congrats on the launch!
How does the embedded team model work compared to traditional freelancer or agency relationships?
Hey @sanskarix Thank youuuu!
The main difference lies in keeping communication open and working with just a handful of clients at a time.
With freelancers, you never know if and when they'll answer your messages, while we ensure daily communication and regular updates on tasks via private Slack channels and availability for monthly video calls for in-depth discussions.
With agencies, the relationship is much more distant: you tell them what you want, they work, and you don't hear back from them until they've completed the project. We, on the other hand, always keep communication channels open and are happy to receive feedback and revisions anytime.
So, yes the relationship with our clients is much more similar to the one they would have with their internal team.
Hope I expressed myself properly, let me know if I need to clarify anything!

@pamela_arienti I got the answer! Keeping an organic relationship with your clients is the key these days.
@sanskarix yes, totally agree, that's what they aim for!
Congrats on the launch, NiceJourney team!
I really like how you position yourselves — a small, embedded creative team working alongside startups instead of the usual agency/freelancer mix.
I can totally see how this model would be beneficial for a growing SaaS like mine (where consistent branding and design matter, but budgets and time are tight).
@perseuvoleu Thank you very much, we really appreciate your feedback!
We're glad to hear that you like the model :)
