Oxi - find out the carbon footprint of anything!

Hi all

I made a custom GPT that is like having a sustainability professional in your pocket.

For now, it is focused on estimating the carbon footprint of any product that you give it.

Take a photo and it will return the carbon footprint of that product in Kg CO2e.

This is targeted at eco-conscious consumers who are interested in learning about the impact of their purchases.

This is a prototype and the longer term aim of this is to provide an easy to use mobile application for understanding your overall carbon footprint and learning how to reduce it through your purchasing decisions.

Hi Nishan! This is a super cool tool—I love the idea of making sustainable choices more accessible to consumers. I'd definitely use it myself.

I'm curious about the data behind it. What's the source of the carbon factors you're using? Also, what's the minimum amount of information required for the GPT to provide a reliable estimate?

When I think of carbon footprint, I typically think on a company level, but you're right, consumer choices also have a huge impact. How did you come up with the idea to focus on the consumer side of things?
