Do you think "realism" in ads is actually universal, or does it change a lot by niche?

Which metrics matters most to you when evaluating AI- genertad ad creatives?

Janice

@victoire_mathieu Great question!

I usually look at a few things: relevance to the product, creative diversity, and signals of real-world usage—not just generated output.

But the most basic filter is realism and visual credibility. A lot of AI-generated ads fail at this first step—they just don’t feel believable.

Only after that do things like performance signals or “algorithm fit” really matter.

In that sense, good creatives need to pass both: they have to feel real to people, and still work within platform algorithms.

What's been your biggest challenge with scaling winning ad creatives?

Janice

@tina_kim2 The hardest part is that volume scales much faster than quality. You can generate a lot of variations, but many end up looking repetitive or not fully believable, which hurts performance.

So the real challenge is scaling without losing diversity and realism.

One thing that helps is having strong references from high-performing real ads. It gives both humans and AI a clearer sense of what actually works.

That’s also where platforms like AdFox come in—helping you discover high-performing creatives and use them as better inputs for AI.

I am curious if "diversity of output" can actually be measured meaningfully, or if it's subjective.

Do you prioritize creative testing volume or deeper analysis of fewer ads?

Evan Sterling

This makes me wonder how much of the success is the tool itself vs. the team behind the marketing strategy.
