Trying to build the best IMDb overlay Chrome extension for Netflix. Please help me nail v2!
How to use it:
Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store
Open Netflix and the extension
Get a free OMDb API key by clicking on "Get Key" on the extension (it comes to your email, don't forget to activate it!)
Save your key and refresh
There's NO sign-up required, and I'm NOT tracking your data because honestly, I don't even know how to do it and what would I even do with that information anyway.
Anyway, here's where I can use some help:
I've been reading through a bunch of Reddit threads and Chrome web store reviews of similar extensions, and I'm working on version 2. I want to add features that add real value to the users. Here's what I have so far:
Add Rotten Tomatoes and Metacentric scores (with toggles so you can pick which ones you want)
Let you click through to the IMDb page directly
Color-code the ratings - like green for 8+, range for 6-8, and so on.
Show the episode ratings chart for TV shows
Make it work for non-English titles (right now it's kinda hit or miss)
Would these be the best features to add for v2? Am I missing something obvious? Please help me out.
I'm planning to push the updates in the next few days with whatever changes make sense and are possible. So please feel free to give me your brutally honest feedback and opinions. This started as something I built for myself, but if other people are using it, I want it to actually be good.
