What happens after that version changes?

by

Unpopular truth:
Most of what we buy isn’t overpriced.
It’s just underused.

Closet full of clothes you don’t wear anymore.
A phone you upgraded from that’s just sitting there.
Gaming gear you were obsessed with… for a while.

Nothing wrong with any of it.
You just moved on.

But the value didn’t.

It’s still there — just not doing anything.

We’ve built habits around buying new things
for new versions of ourselves.

But we don’t really have habits for
what happens after that version changes.

So everything just… stays.

Not because we need it.
Not because we’ll use it.
Just because it’s easier to keep than to act.

Maybe the smarter move isn’t always buying better.

Maybe it’s making sure things don’t sit
once they stop being part of your life.

Because value doesn’t disappear.
