What I’ve been building lately: GPTProto – One API for the world’s best AI models
I’m Jacob, co-founder of GPTProto. I’ve been in the internet industry for about 10 years, and over the past year, I’ve been deep into AI projects. One thing I kept running into was the hassle of integrating multiple AI model APIs — each with its own quirks, docs, and maintenance headaches.
So I started building GPTProto: a unified API aggregator for top AI models from around the world — from Google, OpenAI, Claude, Midjourney, NovelAI, ByteDance, Qwen, and quite a few others.
What it does for me (and hopefully for others):
One integration → access text, image, audio, and video models without juggling multiple APIs.
Cost-friendly → most providers are ~40% cheaper through GPTProto, with further discounts at scale.
Easy to switch → for teams targeting global markets, you can pivot between providers depending on your needs (cost, speed, stability) without rewriting integrations.
Smart routing → we help teams choose the right model for their workload, whether you’re a startup experimenting, or a large company optimizing production costs.
It’s still evolving, and I’m keen to hear how others handle multi-model workflows. If you’ve faced the same integration pain, I’d love to swap notes and see if GPTProto could make life easier.
