UXPin 2.0 - A collaborative cloud-based design and prototyping tool

by
UXPin is the all-in-one design tool where you can prototype using animations, states, real inputs, and logic, co-design in real-time and share specs with devs.
We've recently improved the UI, performance and added new features, wrapping it up as UXPin 2.0.

Hello Product Hunters! As UXPin’s co-founder and CEO, I’m super stoked to introduce you to the new, polished UXPin 2.0! We’ve been working on the overall improvement of our product for the past couple of months. Our goal was to bring back the spotless experience to our product and I’m so proud of my team – they delivered big time! For those of you who are familiar with our tool – UXPin 2.0 looks and works more or less as you remember but the thing is it’s now way faster and more intuitive. The whole launch at Product Hunt is symbolic because it wraps up the releases we’ve been introducing for the last couple of months. It’s a marking point for the big change in our roadmap. The day our tool has become something more than a collection of cool features. There are a lot of awesome additions – let me just list my favourite: – Strikingly Precise Zoom – Pixel Grid – Power Duplicate – Pencil Tool – New Text Element – Team Avatars in the top bar – Faster Layers Read our latest blog post (https://www.uxpin.com/studio/blo...) to make sure you see all the changes, as some of them work beneath the surface (like the improvements in the performance of the app). As said before, UXPin 2.0 is just the beginning of a lot of user-friendly updates to our tool, so keep your ear to the ground. We have things like New Color Picker or Pages Overview almost ready. If you’d like to test UXPin 2.0 yourself (which I strongly encourage you to do!), we have a special offer for the Product Hunt community. Sign up to our app using this link (https://www.uxpin.com/?ref=produ...) and claim your -30% discount! Don’t hesitate to ask questions or comment – my team and I are here today all day, ready to answer!

I think you guys need one more pricing plan for designers who use UXPin as a secondary tool. It could be limited by project number but with some nice features like expressions and variables. Let's name it 'SaaS or Startup designer' plan, limited by 3-4 projects max and including some of 'Advanced' plan features. I do prototypes and wireframes pretty rare as a part of large long-term projects where I work on Wireframes, UI design and UI code as well, and most of time my prototyping tool is busy for 1-2 month max of 6-8 months project length. Now free version is too limited for my needs but $40 per month sound expensive.

@bekzat This 100%

@bekzat You can park your projects for $5/month which is more that affordable.

Nice to see UXPin 2.0 in Product Hunt! We are using UXPin daily and it is incredible the amount of time that it saves us. Since we started using UXPin, we are able to create really high fidelity prototypes without much effort. It is unbelievable the amount of things that you can do without any coding. I have seen the progress of the tool in the last two years and I couldn't be more satisfied with it. Totally recommended. Thanks @marcintreder and the rest of the team for creating this tool and keeping up bringing awesome innovation constantly. 💛

I'm using UXPin for most of my UX projects and it's best tool on the market. Loving the variables feature, the layout options and the countless interactions you get when building your wireframe... A client actually told me that this is beyond wireframing, he loved what came out of UXPin. Keep up the good work guys!

Looks awesome! Congrats on 2.0 launch!

What is the point of difference between UXPin and current tools like invision?
linus lim
@mahshidhdi UXPin is a code based design tool. It is more closer to the actual product and experience are more real. For example, a select menu is a true select menu instead of a visual in Invision. You can play with data in the form components too.
Ivan Braun
@mahshidhdi it's a prototyping tool done right. If you've followed the way from paper -> visio -> balsamiq -> axure, you'll end up with UXpin.
Mahshid Hadadi
@chunwui Thanks for describing me this difference :)
Matt C
@mahshidhdi @chunwui So does that mean it's not appropriate for native applications? Our codebase does not use HTML or JS, so I don't see why having our prototyping tool based on these would be advantageous. I'm asking this question sincerely. Thanks.
linus lim
@mahshidhdi @matt_c2 hello there. I do not see anything wrong not to use. You can create the design system to the framework your team is using, get the style guide and prototype the experience before you handoff to your Developers.

I started supporting UXPin a long time back when I was still actively practising UX design as a professional. In recent times, I have started teaching UX design and the thought-process involved with great UX processes, and the most important central tool that I am recommending to my students is UXPin too. I am absolutely loving the new improvements and features so far, and I look forward to seeing how the product/platform will continue to grow/evolve. I will strongly recommend this tool to whomever is looking to get in UX design.

When will we see UXPin Merge ready?
Chris Stryjewski
@chunwui Hello Linus! Merge is currently in the beta stage. Our team is working closely with beta users and we want to be sure they are happy with the solution. Once we’ll know that, we are going to launch it. We promise the exceptional experience, not a date ;) BTW, you can still sign up for beta: https://www.uxpin.com/merge

@whtmnk Will UXPin Merge be an enterprise feature or also available to other plans?
daniel
good questions @chunwui ! let me help my colleague @whtmnk a bit here :) simple and short answer: no; we want to make it as available as possible the thought process behind it: over past several months, our perception shifted from features to solutions. Meaning how well our service works for different development frameworks, in different teams and markets. Part of that conclusion is UXPin2.0... but I think it's fair to say, not only enterprises have problems that can be easily addressed by Merge ✌🏼

Congrats! Love to see more awesome features to bring this tool to the next level.
