Volley - Community powered by video messaging

When you're developing a product, you're always going to hear people yell "use the app yourself... dogfood!". You hear it enough that it becomes a cliche, a trope, background noise. We never hear or say that at Volley. Why? Because we all _want_ to use it. It's that simple. After you've sent and received a couple of volleys, it clicks. This is the thing that gets my time back. This is the thing that makes it so my work adapts to my life instead of the other way around. This is the thing that helps me keep in touch with my team in a natural way, not forced and scheduled video calls, not pages and pages of emotionless text. We love using our own product every single day. When's the last time you worked on something like that? When's the last time you used a tool like that?

I love Volley. It is so much more natural than Slack and the transcriptions of all the video messages make it so easy to use, even if you aren't in a place to watch a video message.

This product is the best way to communicate among remote business teams. I started my company as a remote first company, and nothing has been more effective for communication. I love the fact that we can capture body language and emotion better, and that there is a flexible set of interactions from video, to audio, to text. We have used it beyond typical communication to also set up training channels with recordings that employees go watch, then join a conversation with any follow up questions. We also have used it a lot for networking with the customizable link - it's my favorite way to avoid pointless introduction meetings and figure out with new contacts if a meeting is needed at all. Best and most productive tool out there. Can’t say enough good things about it. From 1-1 to stand ups to resume cover videos. Just downloaded it.

From my own experience, the UI is delightful for an app this young. It already matches up with that of a heavily funded, mature app. Not to mention the concept appears genius. Super excited about the future of Volley!

So many uses for Volley and every week is something new. I use it weekly for a session that I call #FAQFridays with a colleague discussing the topic of Medicare. I also use it personally with friends and the new features have made having async conversations so easy! Move aside other apps!!
