Today I redesigned how Votap discovers and delivers political news. Here’s the problem. I want Votap to cover as many different news outlets as possible, but I DON’T want users scrolling through hundreds of articles every day.

We’re not trying to build another news aggregator. I want you to open Votap and immediately see the most important political stories, while still getting a variety of perspectives.

So here’s the new system:

→ 3 times a day, Votap fetches articles from multiple trusted outlets across different countries.

→ AI selects the most relevant political stories instead of publishing everything.

→ AI extracts topics, politicians and key information from each article.

→ Articles are automatically linked to politician profiles.

→ Users following those politicians can receive notifications about relevant news.

The goal? More diverse sources, less noise and a better overview of what’s actually happening in politics. And hopefully, less endless scrolling. We have enough apps for that already.
