My app thinks I’m a champion?
Just shipped Votap 1.5.1 for review, it should be live very soon.
You will be able to generate your username through a quick mini game.
No real names, no profiles in the classic sense - still anonymous.
You can get a tag like:
ResilientChampion548916 (apparently that’s me now, aiming to live up to it 😅)
Why did I add this?
Because conversations needed a bit more identity.
Right now it’s mostly vibes… but soon it actually becomes useful.
Next step is adding:
→ tagging people in replies
→ notifications when someone responds to you
So discussions can actually turn into real back-and-forth, not just one-off comments.
This is just the first step of what we want to build around user identity.

This feels like a natural evolution for the app. I get why pure anonymity worked early but adding identity layers makes sense now. The mini game is a creative touch. I think I’d feel more connected seeing the same usernames and recognizing people across different conversations.
