Wasp-lang (Beta) - Develop web apps in React & Node.js with no boilerplate

Wasp is the fastest way to develop full-stack web apps in React & Node.js. Describe high-level features (auth, CRUD, async jobs, …) via a simple config language, and write the rest of your logic in React, Node.js and Prisma.

When I first learned about Wasp on HN I was really excited about its DSL approach. It was amazing how fast I could get things running with Wasp - I had the first version within an hour! The language is also fairly simple and straightforward and plays well with React & Node.js + it removes a ton of boilerplate. I've used Wasp for a lot of personal projects and for some small utility tools at various workplaces. I'm looking forward to what Wasp will bring and mean not only for rapid prototyping but also for removing the friction of getting something going in the first instance, it'll save a lot of people a lot of time!

@michael_curry1 Thanks Michael, we also learned a lot from your adventures with Wasp!!!

Wow, Wasp is the most exciting Haskell project IMO. Was using Haskell the right choice? Amazing update btw. - Tailwind and full stack auth are killer features!

@vlatko_klabucar1 Ha, thanks :D! We think it was! We were choosing between TS / Rust / Haskell, all very good choices, but we knew Haskell well and it is very well suited for compilers, so we had good experience so far. Keep an eye on the blog posts following days, we will be writing about Tailwind and Auth!

I really enjoyed working on Wasp! It's awesome to see people using (and loving) something you've helped build. We of course still have a long way to go, but this is only the Beta. Thanks to everyone who tried Wasp out, it was truly rewarding to see it in action! :D

Wasp is an incredible time-saver and the first thing I reach for when I'm starting a new project. @matijash and @martin_sosic and the rest of the Wasp crew are doing such an amazing job of continuing to build out the compiler and add new integrations!

Way to go Wasp team! I've been following Wasp even before Alpha, when everybody still thought this was a crazy idea 🙂 Amazing to see how far you've come and the future looks bright!
Martin Šošić
@marin_smiljanic I still think it is a crazy idea :D!

I can definitely see the appeal of this, but what happens when my app grows? How does Wasp scale?
Martin Šošić
@albert_gajsak1 Thanks Albert! Wasp right now doesn't yet have scaling support, but it is something we will be adding in the future for sure, so that should cover scaling! Actually, scaling should be even nicer than with other solutions, because Wasp knows pretty well how your app is structured, so scaling should be pretty straightforward.

Congrats Matija, Martin and the Wasp team. Nice accomplishment. Keep up the hard work!

Thanks @preetha_parthasarathy for your support!
