Traditional journaling apps often confine users to predefined templates, but Whatting breaks that mold.
I must say, Whatting gives a refreshing take on digital journaling. And people who value flexibility & creativity in their journaling practice are going to love this a lot.
Kudos to the Whatting team, @chaebeen_kwon, @chanwoo_kim, @ce1ina & @ahjung for developing such an innovative solution that caters to the evolving needs of modern journalers.
Wow… your words seriously gave us chills 🥹💛 Thank you so much for seeing Whatting for what it truly is — not just another journaling app, but a whole new way of thinking about self-expression.
We’ve always felt that traditional templates were too limiting for the beautifully chaotic, creative lives we live — and your message captured that perfectly. Hearing that our modular, freeform approach resonates with people who value flexibility and creativity in journaling? That’s everything we dreamed of.
Big love to you for taking the time to write this — and from the whole team @chaebeen_kwon@chanwoo_kim@ce1ina@ahjung, thank you from the bottom of our hearts 💛 Let’s change the way people journal — together. 🚀📓✨
Whatting looks like a genuinely thoughtful take on modern journaling. The modular widget-based approach is super smart — feels like the digital version of building your own bullet journal, but without the endless formatting and setup headaches. 🧩✨
I especially love that it’s designed to adapt with you instead of locking you into one layout forever. It’s clear this was made with care for real users, not just features.
Can’t wait to give it a spin — rooting for you on this first PH launch! 🚀
Wow — this honestly made our day 🥹 You captured the exact heart of Whatting: flexibility, ease, and real user care. We wanted to bring the creative freedom of bullet journaling to the digital space — without the overwhelm. So happy to hear that came through! Can’t wait for you to try it out, and thank you so much for cheering us on 🚀💛
Really appreciate the honest feedback — thank you! 🙏 The name Whatting comes from “What thing?” — our way of asking, “What do you want to make today?” It’s meant to be playful and open-ended, just like the app.
As for the icon — great observation! It’s actually designed to resemble an eye 👁️ — we wanted something that feels friendly, approachable, and hints at daily reflection and observation. That said, we’re always listening and open to refining things as we grow. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts — it truly helps!
I love this! It feels like it's been forever since anyone thought about building something cool for the iPad, and this uses the form factor so beautifully. Good luck on the launch team!
Thank you so much! 🙌 We totally agree — iPad deserves more love, and we wanted to build something that truly embraces what makes it special. Appreciate the support more than you know — it means a lot to our whole team!
Thank you! 💛 We put a lot of thought into the layout, so it means a lot to hear that! Appreciate the support!

Looks like a good solution!
Do name and icon have some deeper meaning?
Tbh, icon looks a bit silly and generic to me, wouldn't expect high-quality app when I see it in App Store...
