Six days ago I launched WorldDailyWeather.com a free weather platform I built solo that covers 100,000+ cities worldwide in 37 languages, including tiny villages most weather sites ignore.
A few things I learned building it:
Self-hosting the weather API was a game changer. Instead of paying per-call APIs, I run Open-Meteo in Docker locally. Unlimited forecasts, zero API costs, full control over the data pipeline.
Free weather forecasts for 100,000+ cities worldwide. Current conditions, hourly and 7-day forecasts, rain, wind, temperature and more — in 37 languages.
