Hello everybody! When we access YouTube, we limit ourselves to videos in a language we are familiar with and we ignore the vast amount of content in other languages. "How cool would it be to erase that boundary!" - I thought and created YouTube SubSound.
The product aims to help people access to content that is inaccessible or difficult to understand due to language barriers. YouTube SubSound makes it possible to watch educational, popular science, or entertainment videos without being tied to a specific language!
The first thing you need to do is to install the «YouTube SubSound» extension in your browser (https://bit.ly/3dMcpEA). Then open any video with subtitles, display them in your preferred language, and activate voiceover by pressing the NEW button in the YouTube player. That's it! The voiceover will run parallel to the video!
I am looking forward to your feedback on the extension I have developed. Feel free to leave comments!
@tgaru, great product !
How did you realized the technical side?

@sergeyzhigunov, Thank you! Voice acting is done using the "Web Speech API" built into the browser.

It's really new and revolutionary product. I think major video giants will add such feature sooner or later. But strange, they didn't added it already ))
