@busmark_w_nikaΒ Great question! The fact that lingering tasks keep haunting me on a daily basis initially led to the idea to do an app where you can at least face these tasks head-on. Something stronger than just a quiet reminder that your task is 2 weeks overdue π And guilty pleasure gave the app the final touch π§β¨

Congrats on the launch, Verena! This is such a creative and fun way to tackle procrastination. Turning overdue tasks into zombies is brilliant β definitely makes dealing with them feel more urgent (and maybe a bit more satisfying?). π
As someone building tools for productivity and growth (@UNI AI), I love seeing unique gamification approaches like this. It taps into that feeling that lingering tasks really can come back to haunt you!
Question: Beyond just deleting/completing, what does the interaction feel like when you finally "deal with" a zombie task in the app? Are there different levels of zombie-ness planned?
Super cool concept. Wishing you a great launch! π§ββοΈπ
@theo_lΒ wow thanks a lot for the great input on the levels of zombie-ness (or zombification?^^), Theo!
I'm currently working on these interaction details for dealing with a zombie task - like special quests you'll need to do in order to complete or resurrect a zombie task. βοΈ
this is the first todo list that I'm actually going to use. If you are like me and hate todo lists + need the urgency, and a little bit of gamification this is for you.
@peterbuchΒ sounds like we're the same! I'm sure the zombies will give you quite a bit of urgency π§ββοΈπ

Changing boring and exhaustive ideas is a uniquely positive attitude and yes, I like the movies (including the one et to be released in June) where this idea came from.
@__toshΒ So true! Let's all pretend less to be a productivity guru while in reality simply running away from a zombie outbreak π

The concept is really fun and tried adding a task with a 1 minute deadline.
I think It would be much better if you could also send a notification reminder with a zombie theme to help remember.

If you're like me, all the to do lists in the world won't work, because procrastination is bigger than deadlines on paper.
But what if your overdue tasks come to haunt you as zombies?
I built 28 Tasks Later to make to do lists a bit less boring and a bit more⦠undead.
Once a task is overdue, it turns into a zombie and starts cluttering your list until you either deal with it or get rid of it for good.
Do you dare to beat your procrastination AND zombies? π§ π
Let me know what you think!

Just out of curiosity... how did you come up with this idea? :D
[I feel that someone has a guilty pleasure for TWD series] :D
