I'm still relatively new to this tool & others like it so I can't go into much detail, but I can make a few comments.
1) Athens research is really well designed, and was simple for me to get started
2) Setup was super quick on my Windows computer, no signup needed
3) I'm a huge fan of open-source software, so I'm a huge supporter of what the team is doing at Athens Research.
Overall, Athens Research is must try. I really couldn't be happier! :)

Congrats Jeff. I've been following and beta testing the development since June.
Very excited for the official launch. The inspiration was Roam but Athens has taken a life and journey of its own. I'm very positive for Athens' future as its foundation is stronger, thanks to open source.

it would be great if there is more integrations such as headline 1 2 3 and file upload into this fantastic thoughts and note-taking tool.

Best note taking application for self hosted notes. This is literally my second brain for work, keeps me organized and on top of everything!

Please understand that I agree with you 100% about the need for an opensource solution in this space. So, I am not discounting that. However, as somebody who has recently decided to go "All In" with obsidian.md, I am hesitant to switch when **at this time** obsidian is much more mature and has proven that there will be a viable and fruitful third-party plugin community supporting it. It is pretty amazing already. Are there any things that you want me to know before I commit to staying with obsidian because I can't change note applications every time something new comes along because the cost of changing *yet again* is just too high a price to pay.

Amazing alternative to Roam research, Obsidian and Logseq. Athens is my favourite. Hope that development will not stop.
