Hey Product Hunt! I’m Louis, an indie builder who created AudioPen (almost) by accident. I was just playing around, learning how to use OpenAI’s APIs. In the process, I built a barebones version of AudioPen as a tiny tool on my personal website. It was one among 3 other tiny tools I’d built that week. @louispereira23 This is a great app! Most of the time when I write notes, I use bullet point format to keep them concise. Is there a way to have verbal notes transcribed in bullet point form?

Hey James! Yes, there is, but on the Prime version. Prime users can customize the style in which AudioPen writes, the length, and the language as well. In fact I've even included a preset style that writes in bullet points. it's called "Franklin: Bulleted list, short sentences." If you're not currently a Prime user, you could upgrade to try it. @louispereira23 Thanks for the response, that's great! One other thought on integrations - rather than trying to build a custom integration for each automation app like Zapier, Make, n8n, etc, have you considered just adding a webhook option? The benefit would be allowing the user to connect to any automation integration without needing additional development resources.

@louispereira23 Congrats! I just heard about the app on StarterStory and intrigued to try it and looked and worked great. Just curious to see how the cost of using OpenAI’s API cut into the profits. If you are sending 15 mins of audio files to the APIs to transcribe and if a user does it a bunch of times that’d be equivalent to the monthly cost they pay, if not more. Wondering how you are keeping up with the profit side of this equation? Everytime I had any idea about leveraging these APIs for it, I always worry about the overhead cost involved and most of the time the math doesn’t seem to add up for me, just curious to see how it worked out for you, if you don’t mind.

Beautifully crafted and Kudos. May be we do not need any report editors. Use this and record, a summary will be generated and the TV anchor reads out. Any zoom integration, so Minutes of meetings can be auto generated?
