Backtrack lets you record all those conversations, you forgot to click the record button for, by over-writing a 60 minute window of audio over and over throughout the day, locally on your Mac

As a remote PM for a distributed team, and a remote founder with a small team, I have to take a lot of calls everyday, and while I don't record most of them, I really wanted the ability to just go back and listen to something, if need be.
Backtrack makes it possible, and I couldn't be more satisfied knowing the audio recordings don't reach any server.

You’re exactly right. It’s so easy to forget to record and in the 1 week since we started testing BT, I’ve saved 3 brainstorming sessions.
May not seem like a big deal to most people but that meant that I could send to Justin or Jordan and loop them into the conversation and be included.

Love this because now I can take notes AND have a live recording of my mentorship meetings all from one device.
Incase I miss anything with my notes I can always backtrack a whole hour and literally replay my entire meeting.
Also, I can use it to win arguments and replay what exactly the other person said. (backtrack hack #1) You heard it here first.

This is genius. One of those simple and well executed ideas you didn’t realize you needed until you see it. I love how it stays out of your way most of the time but it’s there when you need it. Although it does kind of reminds me of a Black Mirror episode...

AMAZING Product! I don't know how many times in the last 3-4 months that this has saved my behind! THANK YOU!
What are the pros/cons on the following:
• Having a user tickbox or option to go 120 or 240 minutes?
• Having it record while the MacBook lid is shut/sleeping?
• Ability to save files in various audio formats?
I know some of these are already listed and asked previously.. but just curious if these are things being considered as an option for the future?

@jovian we thought about cloud vs local out of the box but with everything going on right now in privacy, taking it 100% local was the way to go.

when you bring this to Android, please consider saving files in a way they can be used by drivesync or other alike apps! perhaps integrate it with Google assistant as well, to save a lot of battery... but if you've ever used newer Androids, you probably know this already.
