in short, the free version is basically a way for you to try your email in this service. you should know it's not really going to look very different.
you then find yourself clicking all over the place to have annoying popups tell you that if you sign up today you can save $10 ... so you can't really test anything else other than email and when you do the email is going to have the shift signature in it. you can't remove this with the free service
this app service will go the route of services like Amy. start off trying to get what they think it's worth instead of what the mass market will pay. there is a difference and if they dont they'll get some customers but they'll never get the million paying customers they want and they're not going to have enough people paying $100 a year to keep everyone happy
i hope the price comes down soon as i've had liked to have given it a go, but it's basically just a different browser and i actually quite like chrome and the apps I use
ironically, i followed an ad from facebook to try this .. thats usually a last throw of the dice for a service like this .. i hope i'm wrong
I just want to add (20 minutes later and after revoking access) .. that if you really really want this, then revoke access and go to exit the app - you then get an offer of 50% off if you sign up today.
it feels spammy. looks great and someone is going to do this .. (if you don't count chrome) .. but my initial thoughts of last throw of the dice were confirmed when i saw that offer
Pros:
looks nice
Cons:
its just a different browser

This looked interesting and promising. I'm not a fan of Google's webmail but I was hoping with easy access to plugins, extensions, apps, etc that it would be a different experience, however, all I got was a custom web browser and the same Gmail experience.
I initially submitted a ticket online asking for a refund. I received a message back a day or so later saying they'd be happy to do so but wanted to know why I was requestig it and if I had any questions. I explained that I wasn't a webmail fan and didn't take advantage of multiple users so it wasn't right for me.
I received another follow up saying they'd absolutely refund my money.... but I needed to take a Google survey first. I did so and wrote them back on the time I suibmitted the survey and sternly requested my money back.
I finally got a message back, 9 days after my initial ticket, from the director of product saying he'd be happy to give me a FULL refund immediately.... but I needed to let him know if I wanted to have my trial subscription active so I could still use it as they made progress. I had to send yet another email back saying I wasn't interested and the product didn't fit my use case and need.
I'm ten days and four requests for a refund in and I still do not have my money back.
I cannot recommend this product to anyone after dealing with their support team and their disregard for a simple request. This could have been solved if they offered a 14-day trial on their full product, but they believe that having a user fork over money would make them more "sticky." I have also voiced this concern to the Shift team with no acknowledgment.
Pros:
Easy to switch between multiple accounts, chrome extensions
Cons:
Still webmail, no free trial, cancelling a paid tier is a nightmare, bad customer experience

You are paying to be their beta testers this software doesn't even load or open most of the time. There has got to be something better,
Pros:
In theory it work intergrates your work flows.
Cons:
Price, Less buggy, doesnt even work most of the time.

you have to pay if you want to add anything not google related, like slack messenger. their site is counter intuitive. it was hard for me to find pricing or leave feedback. They didn't asked to leave feedback during uninstallation
Pros:
everything is in one place, it loads fast
Cons:
counter intuitive website
basic apps require pricing plan
too expensive

Looks good on launching. Not sure I can say more as all features besides inbox are paid.
Pros:
I can only say it seems like a good utility product BUT... (cons)
Cons:
Re-target me once the pricing will be reasonable or at least offer several payment models.
