@alexchudik It looks great but it would make a lot more sense to let startups create the business plan, but then pay to actually share it or download it. This way, they're locked in to your platform, have had a chance to try the features.

@zantosh definitely something we've thought about and may potentially change to that pricing model down the line. Starting here, and will update and adjust along the way!

@alexchudik I thought about this and tried to figure out what's on your mind. I think I get it - even if you let people setup their entire business plan and then charge to download it or share it, the work has already been done so they could just copy it down and use something else to just slap it together. So how about this, there are going to be aspects that really make it easy to build a plan using your platform. And then there are aspects that are basically the same as those offered by the competition. So anything the competition offers, you offer it for free. This way even if someone builds a plan and decides to not pay, you still get the usage. And then you put juicy suggestions at key places so that the user is tempted about what could be. And then if you draw comparisons to really brilliant plans on the web, suggesting that without the subscription, certain things that are apparent in that brilliant plan are unattainable, you might end up really getting that conversion. Just my 2 cents. BTW if you have 2 cents to give me, please do so. I, too, have a product on here.

I've been using this App for about 1 year and I can see the evolution. Some of the Startups.com features are not applicable in my country so I only use the BizPlan app alone.

Last year, the app was buggy indeed and I had to test it with several browsers instead (mine is Safari ;)) But over time, improvement to the UI is apparent and the UX is goes without saying.

For now, I think BizPlan can use some development in the Mobile Version compatibility or a lite mobile app to simply showing it from tablet or edit some of the descriptive content in each plan whenever users are having discussion on the go or having a sudden inspiration while commuting or in a meeting.

Yes I do personally recommend it compared to another app that offering the same functionality in SS and several other apps that I already purchased in Mac AppStore.

Pros:

It's actually evolving in a positive direction over the last 1 year. The interface is getting more intuitive & the speed is also improving.

Cons:

There is an obvious need of Business Plan Template when it comes to presentation/pitching. I think this would come handy if available.

It would be amazing if we were able to link financials of 2 companies (imagine one company invoicing a sister company in a different country).

@saverio_murgia For sure. What you're talking about there is benchmarking on financials which is really important. You could argue that it gets a little tricky for some types of businesses (how do you benchmark Facebook in year 0?) but some data is better than none. Mind you most businesses are being built from existing models (restaurants, consumer products) so I'd say we can definitely improve in this area.

@wilschroter I actually meant that I work at a company that has a fully owned subsidiary in another country, that means that the team in the subsidiary is paid by the subsidiary and the mother company is paying the invoices coming from the subsidiary. I have created 2 companies in bizplan but there is no way i can automatically update the invoices sent from the subsidiary to the mother company

This looks useful even if you're not raising money. It's an FP&A platform out of the box that you can iterate with in the early stages.

@tahorg @imchrisdavis We worked with the Knowlium team on this because we loved the Knowlium product. Knowlium, however, is still its own product/company/brand.
