The Boid leaderboards rank users based on their contributions. You can join a team and compete for crypto prizes. The app is available for Windows, OSX or Linux.

I'm using it for 6 months now, It's doing a great job in crowd-sourcing computing power for humanitarian research. I highly recommend it

Pros:

*Super easy to setup compared to GRC, GBYTE, BBP etc. *Option to choose computing power % *Team engagements makes it fun to contribute more

Cons:

* Gets disconnected if laptop is unplugged & on battery * No native mobile app yet * Opening an EOS account can be a daunting task for some

We carry better computers in our hands than the computers we used to send the Apollo 11 to the moon in 1969. At the time of the Internet popularization in 1997, NASA's SETI project contributed to the contribution of mankind by sharing personal computer resources. Now computer work is not lacking in ability. We must be playing a big role in making a leap into a new era by sharing computer resources with BOID

BOID has made a passive income machine that uses your computer as a resource for data crunching such as cancer research. The team competitions during the "seasons" provide opportunities to increase your dividend. In season 0, the bugs were getting shook out and promotions guidelines were not always clear. This should be straightened out in the next competition season. With this interesting way to magnify your BOID holdings will make BOID one of main tokens on the EOS chain.

Pros:

Great for Scientific Research and Community Engagement.. especially since the current work load is for for Cancer research.

Cons:

I am a big fan of what Boid is doing and can't wait to see what it provides to the world of science in the future. We're all stronger when we work together, and Boid is proving it.

Pros:

Boid uses crypto mining tech to provide science and medical professionals massive amounts of processing capability.

Cons:

As with any new technology, bugs and problems do arise. The Boid team works hard to fix any problems quickly.
