It’s actually my first launch and I’m beyond excited to share Build0 with you - an AI platform that helps teams build secure custom internal apps & AI automation workflows, without writing a single line of code.
A little about why we built it:
We constantly have to spin up custom internal tools ourselves, but the UI is clunky, structure is limited, and it takes way too long - so we wanted a flexible builder that delivers working apps in minutes.
Being an eng, I also get tooling requests from non-tech teams, but often I can’t get to them quickly enough, and when I do, I never get every single detail right - so I wanted to give expert users the power to build themselves.

@phildb0 Really cool concept - the “AI + internal apps” combo feels spot-on for growing teams.
I’m curious how long it usually takes to go from describing an idea to having a working prototype inside Build0?

@dinh_nu_ha_thanh glad that you like what we offer! For how long it takes to go from the first prompt to having a working prototype, that depends a lot on the complexity of the tool. I've seen apps built by our users go from 1 prompt to up to 40 iterations. If you want to build a simple bug tracker for example, you can definitely get a simple working prototype right with the first prompt. If your app requires more complicated logic, navigation, data connection, it might take several prompts.
On average, we do aim for our users to be able to publish their working prototypes within 20-30 mins.
Hey@phildb0 - does one still need to go on the quest from the shire to mordor to add all 168 secret keys, env, tokens, sso/Oauth, webhook scripts, apis?

@0x0x hi! If you're asking about setting up connections to other data sources on your Build0 app, the answer is they are quite easy (takes ~30 seconds):
For connecting to your own external database, you can just give it the API key.
For connecting to other services (Notion, Slack), it's through OAuth so you can just log in to the respective services.
For connecting to Build0-hosted database, it's a one click!
And you only have to set up these connections once and and the data will flow seamlessly afterwards.

The concept of building "secure custom internal apps" really interests me. How would you ensure the security and privacy in a corporate setting?

@cruise_chen Hi Cruise! Thanks for the question! Security and privacy are huge priorities for us (and honestly, one of the biggest reasons we built Build0).
We’re not a perfect system yet, but we take a lot of measures at every system design step to make sure AIs never go rogue or access anything they shouldn’t. Here are some examples👇
Two-AI architecture: We separate the AIs by responsibility - one “communicator AI” that talks to you, and one “coder AI” that writes code. Neither can see your credentials. The coder AI is completely isolated - it only writes code based on instructions from the communicator AI.
Human-in-the-loop for safety: Any action that could even touch your systems (database, third-party tools, etc.) must be manually approved by a human - no exceptions.
Zero-trust design: We never leave credentials inside the app, in either build or published mode. Credentials are always fetched live and encrypted through the current user’s session cookie. When you close your browser, you can be confident nothing’s running in the background or modifying your data.
These are just a few examples of our design decisions to always make sure Build0 apps are robust. On top of that, every app runs in an isolated environment with RBAC, audit logs, versioning, and secret management built-in - so you get production-grade security with zero setup. 🔒 Happy to elaborate on anything further!

You’re right - it’s been exciting to see the demands and activities in this space with many players. What sets us apart is that we’re built for production use, not just prototyping. That means security, privacy, and scalability come standard, not an afterthought - things like secret management, access control, and versioning are baked in from day one, not added later.
At the same time, we want Build0 to stay flexible and powerful - teams can spin up any kind of UI or types of apps they need, connect to any third-party apps or their own databases (without being forced to use only one sheet-like data structure), and launch instantly without writing code.
Next up, we’re focused on making it even easier for non-tech teams to build with pre-built app templates and guided workflows, while enhancing the bar engineers expect. 🚀

@daniellee2309 We did several unique things to make Build0 suitable for production use, here's the high-levels:
1. Very fast feedback loops: AI continuously asks your help to validate its work before moving on to the next, making sure each feature built is already tested and confirmed to match user's expectations.
2. Multi-level AI prompting: users tend to give vague instructions or cant articulate what they want, so we use a level-1 AI to guide the user towards clarity and break the work down into meaningful incremental steps, then generate more cohesive technical prompts for lower-level AIs to work on it.
3. Standardized core code: many important logic is abstracted away from the app and moved into Build0's core, allowing us to robustly test and scale to production standard.
Also already covered in another comment, but another is zero-trust design: neither the AIs or the generated apps get direct access to credentials, allowing for much stronger protection and peace of mind when businesses run them in production.

@danshipitThanks Daniil. This is definitely a question we think a lot about. Each of the product you listed out are unique in some ways, so depending on which ones we’re comparing too, we’re different in a few aspects:
We are end-to-end full stack - frontend, backend, infa all included. We even offer our own database (vs v0 that is more front-end focused)
We allow building for AI automated workflows as well, not just traditional human-operated tools.
We focus on serving teams and business use cases. Some of the tools you mentioned are meant to be more for prototyping, and some are for consumer public-facing hobbies. Our target is real-world business use cases so you can see this in a lot of our system and product design choices on Build0 (3rd party-connections to business tools, auth gating, access control, pre-built app templates that are coming soon, etc.)
I would say these platforms definitely share some similarities, and they’re all evolving and morphing into different forms as we speak.
For Build0, we want to be the no-code software builder for business use cases, so along the way our product will get easier and easier for non-tech teams, and will get more and more secured and scalable to power their real world demands. Happy to discuss more if you have suggestions or thoughts!

@danshipit great question Daniil. I'm going to be super honest - we're still experimenting with the pricing model, but I’m happy to share our not-so-polished thoughts first, and it might share some of what you said here.
Our mental model for pricing is that we want Build0 to be the ongoing SaaS platform for teams to subscribe and use the tools they need (similar to how they would pay monthly subscription to use other productivity tools like Notion, but this time the tool is completely customized for them). The building part is just a means to an end and we don’t expect teams to hit their AI credit limit at all if they’re on the right plan for their size. The monthly payment is for ongoing subscription to the (many) customized business tools that fit exactly for their needs. In the future, we might speed up the building part completely by offering pre-built app templates for the most widely used tools based on user profiles. That way, the pricing model is not fixated too much on AI credits.
Apologies that my current thinking is not too well organized. I know there are still many unanswered questions that we need to work out, and the pricing plan will need to be evolved as we figure these out. I'm very curious to hear your thoughts - do you have any suggestions?
