Whats the difference between Build0 and Retool? As it seems to have much of the same value prop.

@robin_nordnes great question. We definitely serve very similar markets to Retool, but our products are fundamentally different. Retool is a lego-style, drag-n-drop builder at the core, so its great and fast if the component block you want is in the set that Retool offers. For us, AI is at the core, so you can ask it to build whatever you want by generating code. You'll get a lot more flexibility out of Build0, and a lot less time looking for blocks that may or may not work for your exact needs.
That sounds very interesting. But how does it work with code signing? Nowadays, every program must have a certificate; otherwise, it can't just be installed like that. How did you solve the problem?

@michael_kulla Good question! Just to clarify - Build0 creates web applications (like dashboards and admin panels), not desktop software. No installation needed. your apps are deployed as websites and accessed through a browser. We handle HTTPS, authentication, and hosting automatically on Vercel's infrastructure.

Hey, congrats on the launch and for the amazing #2 position! I was really exploring some other vibe coding tools to help build some internal tools used by our teams. I have currently built multiple apps using Airtable and that powers all these systems, but the per user cost is really high + my team only used about 1/4 of the true power of Airtable, so it's an overkill. I'm really keen on this product, but I wanted to know a few things:
Once the app is built, do we still need to pay per user even if we host the app?
If you provide hosting, is that cost already baked into the costing?
SMBs really need tools like to help them build small custom tools that can be created in a short time, so big thanks for making this!

We don't charge per user, we charge per company. So you pay a monthly subscription for the entire company for all the apps you have on Build0.
Yes we provide hosting and the cost is already baked into the subscription cost.

@phildb0 Awesome! Also, we use Airtable as a base for other things that involve automations. For example as a trigger to start automations and use n8n to then update the same row (using Record ID). Is this supported within your tool using webhooks? I've purchased your Growth subscription, looking forward to using it to build some of our internal apps.
