It seems very low and desperate when big companies make wannabe snapchat apps. Or maybe it tells that snapchat is the leader in making playful youth targeted features.

@fatikowais Yes, there's truth here -- Snapchat is in the lead for capturing the eyes of the youth. Facebook has been downtrending on people 25 and under for the last year or so. Apple is not differentiating itself in that market either. This is an opportunity to capture them.

I was never interested in extensions to chat apps and but the success of Snapchat which is essentially a camera extention Apple has an opportunity to create a camera extension ecosystem that would allow for augmented reality to be overlayed onto the default camera app.

Smart actually. They aren't reinventing the wheel. Many people share to multiple places, so this will make it so you only have to shoot once.

It really comes down to how simple it is to use, and if it can compete with Snapchat and Instagram. I'm excited to try it out though.

The advantage here is that they made it arguably cross-platform, and are advertising that as a feature.

I wonder how they are going to handle sharing to instagram. Would be curious to see if IG/FB gave them access to share outside of their app. Or if you still have to use the built in share kit.
