Hi guys, I'm the Founder of Code4Startup. Even better, you can get the full source code of TaskRabbit clone for FREE at https://github.com/leotrieu/Code...
We're learning by cloning amazing Startups. So not just LEARNING, but BUILDING something REAL ^.^

@leotrieu Both current courses are free. What's pricing going to be like in the future?
This is a fantastic idea. As a developer, I constantly encourage my friends to learn to code (I usually point them to Codecadey, Dash, TryRuby and the Rails Girls guides). They usually get through the introductory stuff really quickly but always ask "what am I supposed to do with this?"
The problem is not teaching people about if statements or what classes are. It's getting them to do the other 90% of development, which is taking a bunch of disparate pieces and putting them together into something real.
@danruswick That exactly the reason why C4S was born. We're just 2 month old startup and a lot of thing need to be improved but on top of that, we promise to our students with something cool, something real, something they love at the end of the course.
And of course, we encourage people to start their own business up. It's not easy but it is worth creating your journey. It can be for a serious career or just for fun.
The RoR one will be released next month. It will not be a completed one but a series in form of 1 Task (2,3 videos)/week.
I am absolutely taking any suggestions from you all? Just shoot me an email or tweet me at @leotrieu. I will create a function to enable students to submit their idea.
Great concept ! This could be a really valuable source for non coding Startup founders - to learn what technologies are currently being used in different products and have a better idea of where to start.

@seanomiller this is one area I definitely struggle with. I don't want to learn how to code, but have an idea a day that could get spun up really quickly, if only i had a way. I am dangerous to tweak things once they are in place.
@dswiese I understand, I'm a non coding founder and I've had to take the time to find out what sorts of technologies power products out there. Once they are up, its game on! Luckily I now have my own dev team.

Love this idea. Most people are motivated by the idea of achieving similar success to existing products, why not make recreating those successful products as the focus of their learning. Create a product hunt lesson and I'll sign up
