Introducing Covfefe. Edit any of your old tweets by clicking Edit. π¨ Note: You will lose any favorites and retweets if you replace it with your edit! π¨ Covfefe also delays your tweets for 15 seconds allowing you to undo and edit them before they're seen. To get started, connect your Twitter account by clicking Covfefe in your toolbar.
Awesome idea Corey!
A couple of things I noticed:
- Is it possible for the little popup in the bottom left corner to actually show my tweet, instead of just "Sending tweet"? Most of the time, I don't realize I typo'd until actually seeing it on my profile.
- Would it be possible to bump up to 20 or 30 seconds? 10 seems fairly short to me.
- A lot of times when I click "Undo" inside the 10 second window, it autofills with a completely different tweet, not the one I just drafted.
Keep up the awesome work π
@daviswbaer π Just pushed an update. :)
v0.18:
β² Increase pending tweet timer to 15 seconds
πΌ Show preview of pending tweets now
π Properly returns an edited tweet from a thread to that thread
Awesome Idea and I was really excited to see it! (I upvoted from my phone last week but am just now getting to test with it in my browser). I chose a tweet I had posted last month as a test for editing, and unfortunately Covfefe did not handle the URL well and reposted the tweet with a dead link. Is anyone else having that same problem?
@aylalalewis Hi Ayla! I'm sorry that happened. π I just tested an old tweet of mine with a link and didn't have the issue. I'll keep an eye out for it and let you know if it gets resolved!

Great app, but there are files with several MBs inside.
For example, popup.bundle.js (12 MB), background.bundle.js (6MB) or undo.bundle.js (2MB). Are you sure there are not a bug in your compiler?
Cool concept, I really like this! It doesn't really "edit" the tweets, it actually deletes them and replaces them. Also doesn't handle replies well, only tags the person you were replying to.
π Hi PH!
An edit button, finally!
It's fantastic, really, it's quite amazing. A lot of people are telling me it's a pretty huge deal.
So last Friday, @pugson and a few of us chatting over at WIP.chat thought delaying and undoing a tweet would be a nice compromise to the issue of not being able to edit them. Something like Gmail's undo send would be great.
It got me thinking. I got to work. Ridiculousness ensued. Covfefe was born.
Let me know what you think and if you have any questions!
I also wrote about how I built it Covfefe for the curious makers.
