This would be great for our company if they release an SDK. A lot of possible health and wellness applications. I can see them restricting access to the raw images in the same way they restrict access to raw audio for devs currently. Maybe they'll use their own image classification and provide us access to what the Echo thinks it sees as text for intents.

Before watching the video I thought this would be creepy, incorporating 360 camera + object recognition to Amazon cart functionality. This is targeted at females. The live view is 🔑. It is a human considered use case.
Love my Echo but no thanks to the camera. In it's current form this is no innovation. I will reconsider when the camera can recognize my facial expressions and able to add an emotional component to my interactions with Alexa. Hopeful 🙂
As someone who works in the Fashion Tech industry I'm extremely excited about the potential for this and what I can do with it for my clients. Not to mention Amazon wanting to take over and be the go to location where you buy your clothing and digitizing your closet.
