Can anyone point me in the direction of Evernote use-case guide? I've always liked the idea of the company, but the "catch-all bucket for text" never made it into my workflow. I know people who use it for code snippets, but it seems like text has such a diverse spread of formats, uses, etc that applying a one-size-fits-all mentality doesn't work.

@jadojodo just dm me and I'll show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. I have an Evernote problem.
Report
@dustinlocke I think you have to follow me first, or something. I followed you so DM me. Curious to hear your use cases...

@dustinlocke I'd also love to take a trip down the rabbit hole. DM on Product Hunt confuses me, as in I have no idea how to do it.

@jleodaniel It has come to my attention that such a thing does not exist and is therefore impossible. Maybe Twitter?
@rrhoover I love the statement in the press "Version 8.0 of an iOS app may not mean much to you, but it sure means a lot to Evernote."
If this release may not mean much to us, then why did they release at all?
Report
@sridhar_kondoji Because mobile app version numbers rarely mean anything to the people using them. I couldn't tell you what version any apps I have installed right now. @rrhoover
Report
@sridhar_kondoji@rrhoover My point was that this has launch all the indications of a not-that-significant moment in the scheme of things, but that it's much more important than meets the eye.
@pierce@rrhoover Thx for clarification. My comment was sarcastic. I should have added a gif with my comment.

Have they mentioned any plans to update their Mac app? Surely it's on the roadmap, just want to know when. Would have been great if they'd update both at the same time.
@troychristmas perhaps i'm just a product junkie, but i like to keep my thinking flexible by moving to and from certain products. a great way to compare mental models and ux approaches to the same problem or flow.

Been using Evernote since '08. Still happy with it overall.
Pros:Why does PH limit us to 140 characters? Not even Twitter does that... Multi-platform, OCR, wide range of datatypes supported.
Cons:Make it faster across the board.
